The Light Painting Kata III - Video

For me doing Katas means letting go, becoming spontaneous, natural, fluid, intuitive, uncontrolled.

I truly believe that art is a place of learning and discovery, a process where the mind must make space to allow the other layers to come in, becoming the observer, the student, the witness, or the channel. Somehow I find the essence of something greater than myself manifests in my work this way.

Here is a peek into my personal zone, my daily practices, sharing with you this simple place where creativity comes in.
In this case, I put headphones on for music and to disconnect from being self-aware of being recorded. This way, I also capture the natural sounds coming out of my body while being carried and inspired by the music. The sounds I make help me to externalize the motion, the expression, the energy we call Chi (Ki).
